This 860-square-foot addition and full-home renovation redefined a modern three-story residence with improved functionality and elevated comfort—while maintaining the home’s contemporary character.
The project included converting the open carport into a fully enclosed garage, seamlessly blending into the home’s existing massing. A new mudroom and walk-in pantry were added to improve daily flow and storage, while the primary suite was reconfigured to accommodate a spa-like bathroom with a standalone tub and a spacious walk-in closet.
A dramatic transformation occurred in the main living space, where a two-story atrium was enclosed to create more intimate proportions below and add a private office on the second floor.
This renovation is a strong example of how precise, strategic design can enhance a home’s livability, spatial efficiency, and long-term value—without expanding beyond what’s necessary. The exterior facade expands on the existing materials and the new garage is cladded in a new wood stained fiber cement siding to help bring some warmth to the design.
